Marque Systems is a technology company in formation. We build software and instrumentation for environments where being approximately right is the same as being wrong.

What we do
We finish the part everyone else calls the last ten percent.
We take methods that already work in a lab or on paper and rebuild them as systems an operator can run without a researcher standing next to them.
That rebuild is the whole job: instrumenting the thing so its failures are visible, narrowing it until its claims are defensible, and shipping it into an environment with real constraints.

Documentation, runbooks and a maintenance path are part of the build, not something added afterwards.
How we work
A system that cannot tell you when it is wrong is not finished.
Measurement is built in at the start, not bolted on for the demo. Before a system is allowed to make a claim, it has to be able to show the conditions under which that claim stops being true.
That is what separates a demonstration from a deployment, and it is the most commonly missing thing when a promising method fails in the field.

Scope the problem precisely. The first deliverable is usually a smaller scope than the one we start with.

Build the measurement in first, so every later claim can be checked against evidence.

Reduce the system until its claims are defensible under real constraints.

Narrow before broad
We would rather solve one problem completely than six partially. Scope is the first deliverable and it usually gets smaller after the first week.
Instrumented from day one

Built to be handed over
Documentation, runbooks and a maintenance path are part of the build. Work that only its authors can operate has not been delivered.
No claim without evidence
We state what a system does, under what conditions, and what has been verified. We do not claim what we have not measured.
